We at Alwaysmad feel that some sites are limited by their very existence. For example, NSMB has sponsors, and so, must maintain a certain level of composure and decorum when dealing with issues such as what occurred on their message board. That's why we, the masses are subjected to useless drivel explaining away events that would have made me extremely pissed. We here at Alwaysmad are now going to tell the story in our own way, because fuck it, we ain't got no sponsors so we don't have to give a shit.

Here is what NSMB posted as their explanation for dropping the message board.

I'm proud to say I'm a rider from the Shore. When folks come here to ride they find the people they meet friendly and helpful - I have heard this many times and it makes me pleased to be part of the community.

That was what I hoped would happen with our bulletin boards - that it would be a friendly, welcoming place that we could be proud of. To be sure there are members who act that way. Unfortunately there is a minority who are disrespectful, rude, narrow minded and ignorant - at least when they sit in front of a computer. Many of these folks are quite pleasant in person but some become spoiled children online. Many new members leave nsmb never to return because of these users.

Because of the lack of respect (verbal abuse, slander, taunting, homophobia etc.) that has been shown to other users, our volunteer moderators and the staff of nsmb, we have taken down our bulletin boards. For now we no longer wish to offer this free service to people who treat our guests and us this way.

We haven't yet decided our next course of action. We apologize to the vast majority of users who have done nothing whatsoever to provoke this.
